Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Possession of a five-year degree in Ayurvedic / Siddha / Unani Medicine from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), along with the successful completion of a one-year hospital internship training program.
- Professional Qualifications: Possession of a Registration Certificate issued by the Ayurvedic Medical Council of Sri Lanka.
- Age Limit: Must be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age as of November 16, 2026.
- Other Requirements: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka, physically and mentally fit, and of excellent moral character.
How to Apply
- Application Preparation: Prepare the application on A4 size paper (22×29 cm) strictly in accordance with the specimen form provided at the end of the notice (headings 01 to 08 on the first page, headings 09 to 11 on the second page), filled in your own handwriting.
- Envelope Marking: Clearly mark “Recruitment to the Post of Medical Officer (Primary Grade) in the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Service – 2026” on the top left-hand corner of the envelope. (Sinhalese/Tamil applicants must also write their names in English).
